TMAC is shorthand for the full title of this work. It started as a convenient abbreviation when I was drafting. Then I found that sometimes the rhythm of the text worked better using ‘TMAC,’ rather than the full title. So, I started to do it as a conscious technique. It’s a lot easier to write DTP than a le recherché du temps perdu. For a joke, I also make up ludicrous or obscure acronyms like ALRDTP and ODY. It becomes a bit of a game with the reader. It attacks the smooth flow of reading words. You have to work it out like a formula. Or a puzzle.
